Joanna Jordan deposition, 1782.

Deposition, 1782, of Joanna Jordan, concerning a lawsuit brought by John Smith of Boston against Benjamin Allen, Joseph Cobb, and her husband Robert Jordan, all of Falmouth. The suit pertains to title of the land held by Smith and also concerns an agreement with Peter Woodbury pertaining to the land. Joanna Jordan also states that she did not know any further claim made by Joseph Cobb concerning a tract of land called (Hubate's?) land. At the time of Joanna Jordan's deposition, the lawsuit was about 30 years old.
